Oxalis oregana

Redwood Sorrel - Oregon Oxalis - Oxalidaceae - evergreen if it does not dry out in summer - perennial - groundcover - not a clover - Northern California under the redwoods - southwest BC to California - rhizomatous - white flower hang down - doesn't always have grey rib - oxalidaceae  = mostly tropical there are tree oxalis and many have edible tubers - sometimes aggressive - "it's underused in this part of the world" - won't grow up North Shore Mountains - zone 7
