Camassia quamash

Small Blue Camas - Asparagaceae 2 species it is good to plant both - naturalise beautifully in rough grass - "we don't use nearly enough bulbs in turf" - moist lowland meadows  Western North America - sun to part shade - late spring early summer - edible bulbs were pit roasted or boiled by first nations tastes like sweet potato - first nations would burn meadows to help camas grow for a food source
