Downy wolfsbane - Ranunculaceae - usually blue sometimes white blooms - very poisonous - West Asia Turkey Iran - herbaceous perennial - height 1.5m - July August blooms - sun part shade - moist - opposite leaves - black fruits - used by witches in the middle ages - in the middle ages a woman may have laundered her husband's clothes in Aconitum in order to kill him - any animal name followed by bane = poison bait for catching animals
